Handwritten, personal, alphabetical index of books and passages thought valuable by the author. The form of this commonplace book follows the model of the Reverend John Todd's published "Index Rerum: or Index of Subjects..." printed in 1833. A copy of this printed model is inserted before Stillé's personal index.
